Caring for Doña Apolonia: A Glimpse into Compassionate Outreach

In a quiet corner of rural Guatemala lives Doña Apolonia, an elderly woman who faces the challenges of aging alone. With no family to care for her, she relies on the kindness of a few neighbors—who, despite their own limited means, look after her as best they can. But even goodwill has its limits, especially when it comes to basic needs like healthcare, food, and clean drinking water.
